Alan Chin
was born and raised in New York City. He completed NYU's Photography Program at the Tisch School For The Arts. For the last nine years he has covered conflicts in Iraq, the ex-Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Alan has also documented the Chinese-American community of his origins. He contributes regularly to the New York Times, Newsweek, and Time magazine, regularly exhibits at the Asian-American Arts Center, and is in the collection of the Museum Of Modern Art. The New York Times nominated his Kosovo coverage for the Pulitzer Prize twice, in 1999 and 2000.

Melanie Einzig
lives in New York City and has been photographing its inhabitants for over fifteen years. She completed an MA in photography at New York University and the International Center of Photography. Her photos have appeared in many publications including the New York Times, The New Yorker, Marie-Claire, and the Associated Press. Exhibitions include the Ariel Meyerowitz Gallery in New York and The Van Brunt Gallery in Beacon, NY, and her prints are in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, Princeton University Museum and other private collections. In 1997 she received the Aaron Siskind Foundation Fellowship.
